Besides the pontoons and moorings in the estuary itself there are two boat marinas on the Conwy estuary, one on either side of the river. The marinas are just a short fifteen minute walk from the town of Conwy and both have facilities on site for one to have a meal or light refreshments whilst you sit and gaze at the boats as they turn with the tide at their moorings and as they slowly make their way up and down the river itself.
On the western side of the river is Conwy Marina with its beautiful backdrop. The Mulberry restaurant and bar is situated on this marina and is so named as it was here, during World War II that the Mulberry harbours were built, which were used during the D-Day landings. The Mulberry provides breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and on Saturday evenings one can enjoy musical entertainment and dancing.
On the eastern side of the river is the Deganwy Marina, which is at the centrepiece of a prestigious development and is one of the most exclusive marinas on the North West coast. From the marina one has incredible views of Conwy Castle and the mountainous hinterland. Alongside the marina is the “Quay” a luxury contemporary hotel and day spa complex, where one can sit and have a meal or refreshments on the terrace overlooking the river.
